will there be any further development??

Postby Adelzhausen » Sun Dec 31, 2006 1:47 am

Yo dudes,

Happy christmas and if you read this after 01.01., umm... happy new year!!

Will there be any further development on pearpc or did it stop since the "intel-mac" and "boot-camp" ??

If it has i consider myself a sad man, since i made it to install everything on my kubuntu box so that i have osx up and running with internet and all, which wasn't too easy for me. Now im pretty statisfied with it, it's just the speed that makes me go back to windows/linux if i really have to do something. Bad thing i just can't afford a mac, so i beg you. Continue this work, put some work into getting up the speed a notch and you make one more guy happy out there

oh please, continue your work guys!!

*lol

greets,
Exterminate all rational thought. That is the conclusion I have come to.

I do know that camoflageX and dfoesch have been away from this site for a while. I hope they're still busy working on 0.5.

Like Alex said, there will be. These things take time.

However, I can release information that a sound build has been developed that compiles (Windows/Linux), but whether sound is heard is still unknown.

I didn't hear any sound Sad and it only slowed down the emulator to the point of it not working.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in here!

I guess we’ll have to wait till Leopard is released. I *think* it will be released in October.
Officially Leopard is compatible with G4, G5 and Intel Macs, so it will be interesting to see how PearPC with its somewhat incomplete G4 emulation copes with it. Though, early beta release’s have been run on G3’s so you never know, it just might work.

There is a way to run Leopard on G3. But some apps like Safari will crash.
And Apple is right: G3 is getting very old.
